The Kursalon Vienna in the first district is one of the most famous buildings on the Vienna Ringstraße. Built between 1865 and 1867 in the style of the Italian Renaissance and located directly at the Stadtpark, the palace combines historic architecture with a central location. Following an extensive, modern renovation and technical modernization, the building now shines in new splendor.
The building is divided into several halls, including the Schubert Hall (365 m²), the Strauss Hall (354 m²), and the Lehár Hall (281 m²). Starting in spring 2027, a concert series by the Vienna Residenz Orchestra will take place in the Lanner Hall.
With an area of 373 square meters, it is the largest hall in the building. An average room height of 6.9 meters ensures excellent acoustics in the Lanner Hall, while the high windows and the decorated ceiling provide an open, bright feel to the room.
The concerts by the Vienna Residenz Orchestra at the Kursalon Vienna are the continuation of a long tradition at the very place where Johann Strauss himself performed his music.
